I had booked the Lalit for 4 nights in summer, so it was an off-season. I feel the experience in peak season might be different in some cases, but here is my opinion during my stay. Location: The Lalit Goa is almost at the end of South Goa & is about one and half to two hours’ drive from Dabolim airport based on the traffic. There are no popular activities/tourist attractions nearby, so, in my case since I neither have own vehicle nor I can drive, I had to book a cab wherever I wanted to go which was quite expensive. So, if you do not have arrangements for transportation, avoid this resort. Check-in/Front Desk: The check-in Experience & Front Desk staff was satisfactory. But they should give more information about the resort & ongoing offers at the time of check-in, as there were some offers like Nature walk going on which I came to know only at the time of check-out & hence missed. Also, before my stay, I was asked for a survey for my interest & the activities I would like to do at the resort. And although I had shown my interest in a lot of activities, there was never a follow-up or further information shared during my stay for these activities & when I visited for those activities, I was informed 1-day prior booking is required for the same. Room/Suite: I booked a pool view suite. Firstly, it was only a big room & not a suite. Overall, the room was kept clean & stay was good, but there were a lot of issues. The centralised air-conditioning temperature never came down below 25 degrees Celsius & it would have been impossible to sleep in the heat if we would not have kept the fan on at full speed. The hot waters are run only for a limited time. During our first day, my daughter had to wait for an hour to get the hot water in shower despite our repeated requests. They didn’t have beers in the mini-fridge & the room service was so slow the beer would already lose its chillness till the time it reached our room. So, we had to go outside only to have drinks. Also, there were no bath robes available in the rooms. Property: The resort is located in 86 acres & the buggy driver would be happy to take you around the property. We mostly stayed in our part of the area where swimming pool & most of the restaurant were there. The swimming pool was great. It was big & clean with lukewarm water. We used to be in the pool for 4-5 hours every day. The beach access was just 5-minute walk from the pool. The beach becomes sort of private, because there are hardly any outsiders visiting the beach. Although we understand that it’s a nature resort & few insects would be there, it would have been better if during the check-in the staff would just inform us to be careful during the stay. There was rain on our last day of stay, because of which all sorts of crawlers came out. We saw a chameleon & skink in the garden outside our room, we were shocked to find a small snake in the passage near to our room. The snake would have easily gone to any of the rooms, if we would have not found out. This raised an alarm regarding the safety in the resort, especially for the Childrens who would roam around everywhere. Although we were very afraid & decided to stay in our rooms only that night, the attitude of the staff was very casual for such kind of incident. Restaurants: We had most of our meals in Corta’s & Gazebo. The Corta’s is a beach shack whereas Gazebo is a swimming pool bar. The ambience & food was great. At Gazebo, we met Ananya, the bartender there, who served us exquisite cocktails & had good time talking with her. We had our breakfast at Sea BQ & Canacona (when there were large groups in Sea BQ). Taste wise the breakfast was good, but the spread was the same all day except for few items. The cleanliness was also not maintained & crockeries were not set on table & needed to ask the staff a lot of time. The refill of the food also took time. The staff was happy to help & were providing the items whenever asked, but they need to be proactive and keep everything in order without asking. I wasn’t able to try Veri Feni, the bar as entry to under 18 years was restricted. Overall, the resort & stay was good, but the snake incident was alarming and I do not find the approach from the resort in handling the situation well. So, I would not think to book the Lalit again, if I am visiting Goa again.

The hotel is a good place to relax . But it's quite far from main goa and unless you are happy to spend time using the facilities of the place as we were , it may be a disappointment. You will need transport to visit any place outside the hotel. But the beach is beautiful and the hotel building and surroundings are very relaxing. The staff is very caring especially at the restaurant and the housekeeping. The housekeeping staff Vishal and Anikhet are very helpful. The reception staff is very hospitable.
